Here are my rough designs for a Johnny McGuire's coupon that will be shown in a couple local papers and pamphlets. It should be going to get text and get finalized shortly... More to come. Oh, and I also just got word that my awesome friend Natasha Gitlitz, who has an agency in Denver, talked to a couple hip restaraunts in Denver and they want to put my work up for sale and decoration in their. I'll probably be taking a trip down there in the next couple of weeks to hang them up! Thanks Tasha!

Finally finished the last two remaining t-shirt designs for the festivals to follow Coachella. The Big Four is a metal concert consisting of the most amazing metal bands to ever smack the world in the face with their badass sounds. Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and one of my favorite bands of all time, Slayer. Stagecoach is a country western festival that happens the week after the Big Four. If anyone is going to these come say hi and grab a sandwich from us at one of the Johnny McGuire's booths.

Left chest design for the Coachella Tee for Johnny McGuire's Deli
Next up will be two more Tee designs for some other concerts at the same venue that Coachella is at. The Big 4 which is Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, and Anthrax playing for more than 8 hours. Gotta make P-Dilly the pickle man extra heavy metalled out for that tee. Than the cowboy P-Dilly is after that.
Coming soon....

Work Crew

Johnny McGuire's was invite to have 3 booths at the legendary Coachella festival in Indio, CA. With about 100,000 concert goers flowing through the venue everyday it sold out months before the show has even gone on which is April 16th to the 18th. Johnny's asked me to go with them and work at one of the booths and to also make this shirt for all of the work crew. I obviously said yes to both questions. Here is the Coachella 2010 Cookin' in the Desert t-shirt.

Til' next year...

"Prehistorically Good"
I just finished this design for the deli Johnny McGuire's. This was inspired from the Woolley Mammoth remains that they found on Snowmass mountain which is right near Aspen. We put our own spin on it and put P-Dilly up on the saddle riding the mammoth for a t-shirt design. If you live in the valley you should be seeing these up for sale pretty soon. This design will be on the back and on the front it will say "Johnny McGuire's Deli Prehistorically Good."

Johnny McGuire's Deli "Skombo" card

Lately I've been commissioned to do some designs, murals, t-shirts, hats for Johnny McGuire's Deli in Aspen, Co. (http://johnnymcguires.com/) This is an almost final version of the "Skombo" card deal which will be a laminated card that can fit in your wallet for a cheaper combo deal. You must be working for ski-co and instructors with a class of four or more get a free skinny sub. These should be out in a week or so.

More stuff to be posted from the Johnny's work very soon.

I didn't realize until after this was completed that it resembles a Ronald McDonald after years of consuming his own disgusting fast food.

This is the first of many others. I plan on making a collection of pieces using my usual pen and ink and acrylic wash on paper in various sizes. These will all hopefully get framed in all different kinds of frames. I think I want to call it "Cult of Characters." I want to complete one of these every day but that is probably not going to happen so to be more realistic one or two a week would be great. These will accumulate over the winter months and when I move to SF next summer I will already have some ammo to show some galleries. The overall finish that I envision would be for fifty or so of these framed on put all together on a wall to form a cult. Keep checking back for more.

The Book of Hi Jinks is my latest creation, consisting of eleven different characters bound into an artist book. It attempts to encapsulate a handful of different personalities that were raised and shaped in the world that we live in. By means of quirky cartoon ink drawings, a glimpse into these characters lives can be reached. This is the first work of many more to come, as I feel I have just now started a new exploration and concept that interests me a great deal.
